How to Find Things on Yahoo!Japan+ How to read sizing

You can use these terms to search for items by yourself on Yahoo!Japan Auctions.

You can type in these terms in the white box on the upperleft hand corner and click the grey button to search! If you are specifically looking for clothes you may want to click the drop down button on the otherside of the grey button and select "ファッション" (fashion).

I will try to update this section everytime I update about an auction or find something that I forgot to add before (there are oftem multiple words for just one english term!). Each * represents a search term for the item above.

How to read sizing information on Yahoo Japan Auctions or Store Webpages

*Please understand sometimes store and auction measurements may be listed wrong(too large or too small), and stores and auctions maye omit sizes as well.

*Items sizes in Japanese sites are usually listed in cm (centimeters) and not inches! A quick and easy way to figure out conversions is just divide the cm number by 2.54 or type "[x]cm in inches" (x being the cm measurement into google and it will give you the translation!

*サイズ*: size (for example:M~Lサイズ= M-L size)

*約 : approximately

*肩幅: shoulder length ( distance from shoulder to shoulder, from the seam of one sleeve to the other)

*身幅: "body width" (usually meaning the bust or cheast measurement. If the number is under approx 60cm you should double the number and that will be the total chest measurement in cm. If it is around 80-100cm then it is the cheast measurement)
- sometimes this is also indicated by "B80~95cm位 W60cm~80cm位" for example. B standing for Bust measurement and W for waist measurement)

*ウエスト: waist (waist measurement- you will sometimes see it with "総ゴム"(meaning the entire waistband is elastic) or with "ゴム"(meaning there is elastic in it so essentially free size up to a point) *see also the point on wait measurement above with the Bust measurement.

*バスト: Bust - also know as the chest measurement

*着丈: length of the item (how long it is- usually for shirts or dresses).

*袖丈: sleeve length (sleeve length)

*襟幅: collar width (how high the collar is)

*スカート丈: skirt length

*タテ×ヨコ×マチ:heightxlengthxwidth (usually used for bags)

*持ち手長さ:handle length (usually used for bags)

*内ポケット数:number of pockets

*ヒール: How high the heel of a shoe is

Hi. I just found this lovely information about y Japan. I was wondering if maybe you might be able to tell me what exactly I should be searching for to find Antique Beast items. I've tried just typing in Antique Beast with no luck. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. thanks ^_^
Frozen ♪frozen_yjapan on November 9th, 2006 06:20 am (UTC)
Hi! Thank you for your question. The answer is simple! Your search word of "Antique Beast" is correct!

However Antique Beast Items are VERY limited so usually only a few items will come up on yahoo japan occasionally. So please keep up the search everyone once in awhile and things will pop up soon ^^! If you look now there are two items available ^^!

If there is a specific item link you can e-mail Celga with the URL, your max bid, your personal information that can be found in the auction tutorial (http://frozen-yjapan.livejournal.com/354.html#cutid1) and the 50% bid deposit.
